No Hotspot? Find Free WiFi in NYC

Stay connected everywhere.

There are 3,319 free Wi-Fi hotspots in NYC. More than half of them are the kiosks at bus stops called LinkNYC Kiosk.

LinkNYC was created in 2014 to replace the city's 13,000 payphones. The kiosks offer free Wi-Fi, phone calls, device charging and a tablet for maps and city services. The city has installed more than 1,700 kiosks, with 7,500 planned by 2026. The kiosks have been criticized for privacy concerns and for being used for loitering and drug dealing.
